micro1 is engaging Software Engineering Specialists to contribute to a high-impact customer project focused on technical analysis and documentation. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  1. Analyze and articulate the rationale behind technical decisions, providing detailed explanations of trade-offs and system design considerations.
  2. Evaluate code samples and architectural proposals, delivering expert-level written feedback on strengths, weaknesses, and potential improvements.
  3. Produce comprehensive technical documents such as RFCs, ADRs, and design specifications to clarify engineering approaches and justifications.
  4. Conduct structured code reviews and debug scenarios, outlining step-by-step reasoning and recommended solutions.
  5. Develop clear, actionable automation testing strategies and performance analysis reports, highlighting best practices and areas for optimization.
  6. Translate complex engineering concepts into concise, accessible language suitable for a broad audience.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. At least 3 years of experience delivering production-grade software using a modern technology stack.
  2. Demonstrated expertise in technical writing, including authoring RFCs, ADRs, design documentation, or substantial code review commentary.
  3. Strong analytical skills in system design, performance evaluation, and debugging real-world software challenges.
  4. Proven ability to communicate intricate technical topics clearly and persuasively in written English.
  5. Familiarity with automation testing frameworks and performance/trade-off analysis methodologies.
  6. Experience collaborating with or contributing to leading organizations or well-regarded academic institutions.
  7. Motivated by opportunities that value both deep engineering knowledge and sophisticated writing ability.
